Malinda (Mal) Liyanage is a Chartered Professional Engineer and brings over 20 years of experience in the electricity industry, including a decade specialising in grid connections across the National Electricity Market (NEM).
His expertise spans the full lifecycle of connection projects including; feasibility studies, modelling, commissioning, hold‑point testing and R2 validation.
Mal has deep technical capability in grid connection of inverter‑based resources (IBRs), harmonic assessments, and detailed model development in PSS/E, PSCAD and PowerFactory.
